I can't believe that I have to go back and explain something so basic as what is racism as opposed to what is insensitivity. But based on the feedback of the liberals out there who insist on condemning Bill Bennett as a racist, it is necessary. Maybe even Endre can take time off from his big important job and cool car to perhaps learn something.

Dictionary defines Racism as:

1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

as opposed to Insensitivity which is defined as:

2. Lacking in sensitivity to the feelings or circumstances of others; unfeeling.

Let me give you a working example:

Statement #1: "White people are dumber than every other race, and therefore I won't hire white people." Definitely racist.

Statement #2: "White people suck at professional basketball." Is that racist? No, because it's true!!! It's a relative thing, but it is true. This is really more of an observation of fact. Insensitive, yes. It's an insensitive observation.

Statement #3: "If we locked every white professional basketball player up in a 8 x 8 jail cell (they would literally all fit in one!!!) it would have very little effect on the quality of professional basketball." True? Yes, I think so. Insensitive, yes. Racist? No, not racist. It is not asserting white people are inferior to any other race inherently, just that white people happen to not be the best pro basketball players.

Now, enough of the silly explamples, again here is Bill Bennett’s quote. Take the time to read it (undoubtedly for the first time):

"But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could -- if that were your sole purpose -- you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down…That would be an impossible, ridiculous and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down. So these far-out, these far-reaching, you know, extensive extrapolations are, I think, tricky."

If you want to be factual he is saying that aborting black babies is morally reprehensible. That is exactly the opposite of endorsing such a practice. It's obvious that what Bill said was insensitive to the feelings of many people with his comments about abortion and blacks. It is even more obvious that his comments, no matter how you try to twist them, do not assert that any race is superior to another. Therefore, not racists. Can you understand that? Or is your burning desire to play "gotcha" and declare some Republican, any Republican, ALL Republicans as being racist too strong?

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you
rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be
surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where
you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of
leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to
have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you
to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training
laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means
that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot
easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created
by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are
from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came
from! (lastly....) NOW..

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or
heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet,
you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith
at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of
our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!!!!

sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States speak out

Allow me to paint you a not so pretty picture.  Nine years ago I joined the greatest army in the world.  Since that time I have not done much except serve my country and its citizens, even those that are not citizens. Also I’ve studied some and I am finding that its harder and harder to keep things to my self mostly just accept things for what they are and go about their day.  What happens to us now I wonder just when I thought that the world was becoming a better place I find out it has mearly put on a new face and changed its spots?  In February 2003 I was called to serve my country in war and after 14 months of service they said thank you and sent me on my way. Six months later I felt called agine and to an extent I feel that I was called to shed light on what is going on here. 

At the near end of the civil war Lincoln said all men are created equal and are due certain right and what not.  Then we as a nation started to spread the idea and later pushed these same beliefs on others like the UN the newly assembled EU and the world.  With that said, How in the hell does a major US corpation get away with replacing India workers that were paid just under 600 USD a month with workers from Seirra-leon, Africa under 200 USD a month for the same work and worse living conditions.  Granted that its better here than back in Africa where the came from and living and working here insures their lives for an additional year or more.  But what about their rights and equal pay and what not?  When did we decide that it was ok to treat people worse because they not form America and, how do we justify what we are doing in the pursuit of the all mighty dollar.  Up until lately I have been one to bite my toung and say it’s not my problem but, no longer can I watch people hand out reasons to hate the USA. 

I am watching civilian companies make a fortutin off the US government due to this war.  No one company is to blame it is all of them and they are banding together.  Here are a few examples: 

• One security guard for a well know privet Contract Company can make between 80,000 up to 140,000 USD

• A support company that is very well embedded in the DOD is paying its employees from 70,000 up to 200,000 and for a bunch a misfits that hate their own lives and most that I have meet don’t really give a damn about us the soldiers. 

• We hired several non-US contract companies to come in and due things that are not allowing soldiers to do what the American tax payer has paid for them to learn how to do such as; Counter Intelligence operations, Intelligence collectors, instructors and many more. 

So in turn what does this mean to us well.  You and I pay to teach someone a skill and for anywhere from 9 to 139 weeks you are paying to  house them, feed them provide instructors, books, computers, and so much more only to have a commanding General tell them that they cannot do THIER job.  Instead they get to stand around for 8 hours and watch local civilian hires do menial labor for 3 times their worth instead of having the soldiers do there jobs. 

Once upon a time the armed services were self contained and could do just about every damn thing under the sun.  Building and plumbing are just two jobs that are in the 300 and some odd jobs the army list and while they go to a school to learn how to do these things they just don’t get do show what they know.  Mainly due to the over watching of some civilian puke that is mad because he could be making money off the military but instead he had to sit on the side line.  So I guess the short and quick is civilians do not belong with the army and if you want to have to bring them in it should be to augment the service and not replace whole sections of it.

Today it occurred to me that in the very beginning of this war the leftist Liberals were saying we were only in for the oil.  Well then my question to you my fair citizens if that’s true, WHY are gas prices climbing to 4 dollars a gallon yes I said 4 USD.   With the hurricane that just shredded the gulf coast and 12 yes count them 12 oil platforms missing [sited off military.com or msn.com not sure at this time] just how long until they figure out it was never really about the oil it was really about securing the freedom of the American people for the Axis of EVIL that former President Hussein was a key leader in.  In my own disillusion I can hear the liberals braying like asses “Why is gas so expensive?” Know I have to use Regular instead of prem.  I don’t what to do the Peace rally is 200 miles away.  Here is my advise, take a bus or better yet walk you asinine tree hugging granola eating ass to it or just have your own local rally and do it away from the rest of us that are trying to make a living, and don’t even think of using a public park I don’t want to see you when I’m out playing with my kid and playing cowboys and Indians, hell if you are their I’ll just change the name to US soldiers and Iraqi.  Now back to the really point.  If fuel is really going up so fast what are the factors? 

1. The US got most of its oil from where??

That right Venezula. If you think back they had a coup and over threw their government and the US does not deal with rouge countries.  Now what does that mean for us well we can sit by like we have been doing or we can send in some pipe hitters and settle things out.  Quick fast and in a hurry.  Remember “No problem exists that can not be solved with the proper application of bullets.”  Yes the sounds a little totalitarian. But let’s face it we are the only super power in the world.  As long as we don’t mess with N. Korea or china we should be fine.

2. Prior to the war how much oil did we import from the Middle East? 

Wrong, only about 12 % the whole thing that slowed us down. (See number 1)

3. Is this really going to change anybodies mind?

More than likely not but If we would just settle down and limit the ignorance in the states.  i.e.  Hummer2, Excursion, RV’s and what ever other gas hogging road warrior monsters run the road it really wouldn’t be all that bad.  Ok so a hybrid doesn’t go 100mph and it only holds four well I guess you’ll just have plan your day a little better.  And you can’t sleep in that extra 15 min.  Instead of driving to lunch why don’t you get off your super-sized ass and walk to lunch or pack it. And to the catholic I guess that family planning will have to take effect and Mormons you won’t escape me either, this hole move forward and populate the earth. Sorry but we kind of have a bit of a space problem.

I know that I don’t like the idea of paying almost minimum wage for gas but, I know that the people that are really going to grip the most are the little guy.  You remember him, ya he’s the guy that makes sure that you grocery’s get put out or he’s the guy or gal making your damn super size meal to go or did you think about this one, the guy that dumps  the trash by your desk hey bottom of the bucket jobs.  These are the nesseary people to make your day easier and they are feeling it worse then the guy with a house and 3 kids with more shit than they play with.  What is going to happen from here is the steady decline of the human nature, people will stop being nice just because, and hey buddy can you give me a lift might be come very rare.  Well its not the end of the world lets look at the upside.  Dad and mom just might interact with their kids more instead of handing them 20 bucks and pushing them off to the mall, or hell block parties might come back in to play just because it cost to much to drive in to the big chain restranuents, hell it may just be the thing that saves are families.  And improvise the quality of life,   now you may just say well this is BS and I don’t know what i'm talking about.  You (me the writer) didn’t address crime of gas stations and what not.  Ok here you go guns don’t kill people people do and if you think that its going to get worse well it might but not because its worse it will be due to the leftist meadia that runs our twisted little corner of space.  Think about this next list for a few min. and really search your memory banks to see if you have heard of any of this:  1,900 new schools with 24,000 new teachers started back to school last week in Iraq that had previously not had schools the gross national product of Iraq’s exports grew but three points over the best year of its past 30 year history.  Ok even that’s a little biased 100 local students got together and painted over the graffiti today at a local park that is a know hang out for drug dealers and gang members.  Remember that the 1^st rule of modern journalism is if it bleeds it leads, maybe bad news travels faster then good news.  While my view are warped and sideways from most I believe as Americans we want to know about the blood gore and mayhem provided that its not in our back yards.  So back to the crime thing its not going to get that much worse just you will hear more about it and might be more prone to see it happen.  So the next time your running late and speeding down the highway sucking down quarter ponder grease ball burgers while using the American flag as a floor mat just remember that the cost is more than just a momentary item and your actions while minor like r. Kelly’s victim the impact is greater than the moment and you are part of the reason that we are in this mess.  If you happen to disagree then well it’s your right.
